This
is not love.
Under the tree…
Act 2
Two weeks
later…
Vincent
seems confused of his recent lascivious towards Rachel. He left Chloe messages
after the first incident with Rachel but when she called he couldn’t tell her
the truth about her where being or what he did to her. His spirit was down and
the only thing he talked about was how much his missing her to avoid any
suspicion. When Chloe told Vincent that she’s back in the city, he froze for a
moment and convinced her not to visit home and that he wants to visit the city.
Jessica
despised Rachel and always said that she’s arrogant and guise. When she found
out about Rachel and Chloe that night, her theory was almost right. Rachel is
guise but not arrogant. She doesn’t remember anything about her past life,
where she’s from or how she came to be in the city in the first place but still
have the purpose. The are other things in life, no one can understand or
explain them more like your pasts. As we grow up, we make bad choices in high
school but when you’re in tertiary and evoke, your mind goes numb and you don’t
have a proper answer of the things you did in your past.
Every day
Rachel was tortured, molested and ravished. She had nowhere to run, or should I
say a thought of escaping the tragedy. This is what happens when your mind is
deranged, you can’t think for yourself or even feel the pain anymore. Inside
your dead, the only reason you’re still surviving is hope or purpose. Two
nights Rachel slept under the tree in the yard and no one cared what happens
out there in the middle of the night.
They are
living in a duplex, country side isolated, away from the road, people, help and
everything. It’s like an abandoned farm. Chloe had no business in the farmhouse
anymore. A week later Vincent went to the city in search for someone he already
has, Rachel. He doomed Chloe and persuade her to believe that maybe she
returned wherever she’s coming from, hell or heaven only God knows. Vincent
asked Chloe if she had a thing for Rachel and she said no, what happened was a
huge mistake which she meant it.
Chloe
could see through Vincent’s eyes that he’s terrified about something and she
assumed maybe is because he fell in love with Rachel which is true and he
admitted it and said he’s too late. The only way to console him was to tell him
that someone like her will come along soon. A chance of Rachel to be saved was
decreasing each moment Vincent was in the city. Leaving Rachel with her lunatic
family made things worse.
Jessica
kicked Rachel out every night cause she’s idle but wanted to eat all the time.
Rachel got frazzled and nigh took her life but she couldn’t. Vincent’s father
sneaked to ravish Rachel when he was asleep and son away. Jessica knew about it
and said nothing about it. That one purpose that brought Rachel into the city,
she wondered if what was happening to her it is or just a phase. She wanted to
believe that someday she will come out of this hell but other days were dull.
It is true in other countries rape is condoned and as well as abuse towards
woman.
Woman in
most countries they don’t have a voice, as a seed of South Africa I count
myself lucky to have a right as woman and as a child. Rachel is early 30s but
bit by bit she’s losing her mind, retard and weak. Sometimes she’s given food
and sometimes ravenous. Vincent started feeling guilty but he also felt like
it’s too late to come clean. He stayed in the city for the weekend and there he
felt free and normal. He didn’t even want to go back home but not going home means
Chloe finding out about Rachel. He couldn’t risk that so he went back home.
For some
reasons free sex lady decided to take a break and focus on her business. Daniel
never came back, he stayed back in Germany. When Vincent returned back home he
found Rachel looking like ramshackle. He became raving towards everyone, her
mother, father and sister. He became otiose and had a nightcap to numb the
pain.
Vincent
started quivering every night and overwrought. He wished he could go back and
start over again. He didn’t believe what he had done. He’d spent most of his
time quiescent, perceiving Rachel talking alone under the tree through the
window and question himself one question, “why”. What went wrong and how can he
be responsible for something unspeakable like this. He still couldn’t figure
out what led him in that path.
All those
questions he asked his parents and his father told him, it’s who he is and her
mother said, “you are responsible”. He
wanted to run away but where? His feelings about his current behaviour,
oscillate now and then. Other days he admits his wrong deeds, that “THIS IS NOT
LOVE”, but a dilution and other days he embraces them. It’s like a night owl.
Chloe called Vincent that she’s on her way to pick up some stuff she left in
the house. Is Vincent going to kill Rachel and bury the body or hide her in the
middle of the forest??????
To be
